Mandatory jail time for anyone who harms an emergency worker
The police and other emergency service workers are being attacked whilst carrying out their duties at an alarming rate. This must stop.
Anyone who harms ( including spitting at, scratching etc) an emergency worker, should be jailed until said worker is back at work on normal duties plus an additional 2 years to start from that date. Sentences to be served in full. Killing or maiming an emergency service worker should carry a whole life tariff, even if such acts weren't intentional. It's time to protect the protectors
