Want MPs to discuss the proposed pay increase put forward by the IPSA in Parl
Wish ALL MP's to discuss the payrise proposed by the IPSA and hopefully vote it down as a collective. This rise in the current climate whilst many are losing their businesses, jobs, homes etc is scandalous.
Let's see if we are all in this crisis together or is this the true divide
This rise should be rejected by those receiving it and if its not possible due to the way its implemented, then let the MPs set up a pot and give it to our hospitals, homeless ex service personnel, those truly struggling to eat and heat etc.
Let's see how our mp's really stand tall for their elected area.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for setting MPs' pay. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. As such, MPs cannot 'vote down' the proposed pay increase. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
You can find out more about IPSA here: www.theipsa.org.uk/about-us/.
