Petition Action

Ban the sale of alcohol in parliament.

Petition Details

To ban any bars serving alcohol in parliament.

With immediate effect all bars and restaurants in the House of Commons and Lords should ban the sale of alcohol within its grounds.

Additional Information

MPs are public servants. Paid by the public to serve their communities. Whilst they have deemed all pubs close to close by 10pm, some of these MPs have admitted to breaking the law by drinking past 10pm.

Nurses, Police Officers, Firefighters and Teachers would never be allowed to drink whilst working, the same rules should apply to MPs.

These people are responsible for making decisions which affect every individual in the country. Alcohol will only impair this decision making.

This must stop.
