To give this academic years students the same grading system as last year
To mark this academic years a level and gcse students the same as last academic year, on teachers estimate grades rather than exams
Students taking their a level and gcse exams in June are just as disadvantaged if not more so than those who took them this year. They have missed the same amount of critical learning in school, but unlike this year who had actually completed the syllabus and were in revision period, current students have missed vital learning.
The most sensible and fair move, would be to cancel the actual exam again, and go back to exams next academic year. This would then mean every student is treated fairly.
