Stable funding to PGCE Teacher Training: Drama, Music & other creative subjects.
We want the government to provide consistent grants, bursaries and additional financial support to people training at PGCE level to teach secondary subjects: Drama, Music and other creative subjects
Music, Arts and other creative subjects can receive funding from some suppliers but why not all? Why can't Drama receive ANY funding?
You watch TV, what do you see? ARTS! The camera crew, lighting design, sound technicians, jingles and theme tunes, costume, hair and make-up and actors.
The arts is everywhere! So why can't the people who are inspiring these workers receive stable funding?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you're concerned about support for people undertaking PGCE training for certain subjects, but it's not clear exactly what you want the Government to do about this.
Your petition refers to music, arts and other creative subjects being able to receive funding from some suppliers but not all, and drama not being able to receive any funding, but it's not clear what funding you're referring to.
We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
Reinstate the ITT bursaries for arts and humanities PGCE: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/554457
Reverse changes to teacher training bursaries to prevent loss of teachers: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/554315
You could start a new petition about changes to bursaries or grants for students studying PGCEs for arts subjects, provided it asks for an action different to the above, and it is clear what you are asking for.
