Cat rescues need government funding and new laws are needed.
Cat rescues are struggling desperately - the government hasnt helped them at all during the pandemic and all their fundraising events have been cancelled. Rescues rely on these events to give them money for food/litter/vets and medicines. The amount of cats needing help has increased tenfold.
100s and 1000s of cats are being abandoned and left to die on the streets. More animals are being un-neutered/spayed. These animals are wild - fighting and breeding out of control.
Rescues are seeing their vets bills and food/litter and medicine costs are increasing while they try to help these cats.
Its time to give rescues funding to help them try control the issue of stray cats - its time to make neutering/spaying and chipping cats compulsary. Its time to educate people more on pet care.
