Petition Action

Some rules for COVID should be dropped after not benefitting the country at all.

Petition Details

We want Boris to follow through with this as some people aren't listening to the rules as it is. For example, reducing the closing times of pubs will not stop people going back to other people's houses and carrying on to drink.

Additional Information

We want the government to follow through with this because we have looked at the statistics and not many people are following these rules, and this might be because these rules are not necessarily helping to reduce the number of the cases. We feel that the government could potentially introduce more useful guidelines, that will be more beneficial for the UK, in order to lower the number of cases.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call for a specific action by the Government or House of Commons.

We understand that you are concerned about the effectiveness of some COVID-19 restrictions, but it's not clear what you want the Government to do about this.

You could start a petition calling for specific restrictions to be dropped or amended, if there are particular changes you want to see happen.
