Time and again the youngest and most vulnerable are let down not only by those who should look after there welfare (Parents) but also when parents are unable to fulfill there responsibilities underfunded ,unmotivated and overstretched social services departments unable to cope with demand also let them down, this petition is to call for a new child protection service comprised of social workers, police officers and child protection charities with a national budget and a national frame work and to take the whole system out of local authority control, for too long we have been told lessons will be learned but never are.
