Petition Action

Debate a vote of no confidence on the Secretary of State for Transport.

Petition Details

We the signed respectful demand that Parliament debate and hold a vote of confidence in regards to the handling of the Corona Virus travel fiasco. So we request the prime minister remove from office the current post holder due to failure to address the crisis that the transport industry is in.

Additional Information

The current Secretary of State for Transport has shown he has no concept or regard to the state the travel industry. He has systematically over seen the loss of tens of thousands and of jobs in the aviation industry alone, the final numbers will only come to light I fear later this year.

The air travel corridors have been a means and only comprehensive testing will get the industry moving again.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't publish petitions about honours or appointments. That includes calling for Ministers to be sacked or to resign.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could sign or start a petition about that.
