Petition Action

Initiate a temporary circuit-breaker lockdown to get cases down for winter

Petition Details

SAGE have advised a circuit breaker lockdown would help to get COVID-19 cases down this winter in order to help the NHS and save lives. With flu season upon us it appears that the health service could become overwhelmed and more people will die as a result.

Additional Information

This temporary lockdown would bide some time to sort out the test and trace system which is far from working effectively. There have been too many deaths in the UK compared to other countries in Europe. The restrictions currently in place are simply not enough.
