Ensure flood protection for villages downstream of the Jubilee River
Ensure RBWM Council meet their obligations to keep residents safe from flooding. To not devalue homes, land & other property, and ultimately endanger lives & livelihoods of everyone who lives there by not contributing to their section of the River Thames Scheme or providing other adequate defenses
2014 - villages of Wraysbury, Horton, Datchet & Old Windsor suffered the worst floods since 1947 effecting 1000's properties. At that time RBWM committed to contributing their share of the section of the proposed River Thames Scheme that would protect its residents downstream of the Jubilee River.
In September 2020, RBWM confirmed that they would no longer be contributing to the scheme with no further information on how to keep residents safe from flooding in future
