Give the Self- Employed more than 20% in the third SEISS Support Scheme.
I would like them to bring the Self-Employed payments in-line with those employed on PAYE again !.
Review what they are offering for a three month period. Explain how people are meant to live on that, even with help from Universal Credit. 20% is less than we pay in Tax and National Insurance. How do they expect people to manage getting to and through Christmas when work and suppliers close down and then on January 31st, be expected to pay the 2019/20 Tax Assessment. Even offering to stretch that over 12 Months is not going to help us. We need at least 50-60% to be able to survive.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
You may wish to sign some of these petitions:
Increase the 20% self-employed grant for those who cannot return to work: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/552932
Pay self-employed workers 80% of gross income during Covid-19: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/309231
Extend Covid-19 support for self-employed workers in high-risk occupations: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/333399
If you want the SEISS to be changed in a way not covered by the above petitions you could start a new petition, but it would need to be clear how you wanted the scheme to be changed in a way that is different to existing petitions on this subject.
