Student Finance Company - is it fit for purpose?

We, the undersigned, petition Parliament to debate and investigate whether the Student Loan Company is fit for purpose taking into account delays in making loans to students, inefficiencies caused by poor data handling, misinformation passed on by poorly-informed staff, online services which just don't work and the totally immoral use of a long-winded profit-making premium-rate phone number for those making inquiries - in the main students and supportive parents who can ill-afford the expense.
