Make all Public Sector Workers, inc MPs subject to the same rules regarding Pay
Bring back fairness to all Public Sector pay and ensure there is consistency among all areas of public service including recommended pay rises and suggested by the independent body IPSA
The independent IPSA sets MPs’ pay controversially gave MPs a big one-off pay rise in 2015, arguing that their pay had slipped behind other parliamentarians in other countries. MPs basic annual salary rose from £67K to 74K that year, an increase of more than 10 per cent at a time when millions of public sector workers had their salaries frozen or were given rises cap. Many Civil servants e.g. HMRC have had minute pay rises and in real terms a pay cut with inflation over last 10 years.
