Hold a public inquiry into spending on test and trace
The Government should launch a public inquiry into all Government spending on test and trace. This should include investigating the circumstances under which contracts were awarded without a full procurement process, and whether these contracts represent value for money.
In September the Chancellor said the Government had provided over £12 billion for test and trace. This is a huge amount of public money has been spent and taxpayers have the right to know what due diligence was performed, and whether spending was value for money.
