Replace all referees in VAR with retired professional football players.
Football is the national sport and referees are spoiling it with their bad implementation of VAR. They are using VAR to cover errors by the on-field referee. The VAR officials should all be former players who love football, ideally players who have been the victim of poor referring decisions.
Pass a law that says VAR must be run by former players so that there can be no conflict of interest and no covering of mistakes for the on-field referee.
