Cancel the subsidisation of expenses for MPs.
I would like to see all subsidies for MPs expenses cut. Members of Parliament have, for too long, had an over reliance on these subsidies and have subsequently fallen into a cycle of state dependency.
Personal responsibility matters. Members of Parliament earn a sufficient enough salary to budget the purchasing and running of their own food, transport costs and household bills without having to rely on the country’s welfare system. Financial independence should be encouraged and therefore, all financial aid to Members of Parliament should be halted in order to achieve this.
