Hold a referendum on introducing the Mixed Member Proportional voting system

Petition Details

To hold a national referendum to replace the First Past the Post voting system with Mixed Member Proportional Representation and reform our democratic process.

Additional Information

Our current voting system has created a two-party system that allows MPs to win a local election when a minority of the constituency voted them in and it leaves millions of citizens ideologically unrepresented. In these times of uncertainty, the people feel disenfranchised and unable to influence policy. By holding a referendum, Parliament can give the people the power to decide for themselves how they want to be governed and represented.
