Petition Action

Year 11 students in secondary school to receive funds from the government.

Petition Details

Us Year 11's want to receive funds from the government for the loss of education we missed from the beginning of lockdown. We want a money scheme that we can claim for the interruption of our upcoming exams in 2021.

Additional Information

We are still going ahead to do out GCSE's in 2021, after all the hassle and loss of education in 2020 lockdown. The least we could ask for is some funds from the government which would keep us happy at it's minimal, so we can have some funds.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government to take a specific action.

We understand that you want the Government to provide funds to Year 11 students, but it's not clear what problem this would address, or how you want such compensation to be provided.

We could accept a petition asking the Government to financially compensate Year 11 students whose education has been affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, but it would need to be clear what sort of compensation you wanted to be paid.
