Put a salary cap on members of parliment wages .set it to £45,000 a year.

Petition Details

To stop members of Parliament giving themselves pay rises when the rest of the country suffer because of lockdowns due to covid 19 pandemic. To stop members of parliment from claiming high expenses for unreasonable expenditure .

Additional Information

To stop members of parliment claiming tax relief or expenses for second or third homes. To bring into line there wages with middle or lower class pay rates.

The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for setting MPs' pay. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
