Petition Action

Ban companies from exploiting COVID-19 to sell it's products/services,

Petition Details

Since initial COVID-19 lockdown, companies have been exploiting the issue in TV / Radio Adverts:

E.G:
Nationwide - Lockdown Poems
Deliveroo - Lockdown Ads
Banks (e.g. Halifax) - Banking Ads
Morrisons - Mask instructions
Tesco - 'Safer Shopping'

These are all ads to promote businesses.

Additional Information

Mental health and depression rates have increased significantly since COVID-19 had struck - lockdowns / job & savings losses / businesses losses.

However, the fact that people are constantly reminded of the issue in their own homes through their TV - particularly through large conglomerate companies such as Tesco or Nationwide (with its 'lockdown' poems) - do not help - in fact will only make the issue worse - and must be stepped on (the same way cartoon food ads to prevent childhood obesity).
