Establish a Healthcare Workers Employment Ombudsman
To create an independent body outside of healthcare providers & professional regulatory authorities (GMC, NMC) to review NHS cases on bullying, harassment & discrimination. This petition is to beckon the govt. to address the ongoing claims which are evidenced by numerous published reports
Issues with the current process: unaffordable, significant delays in resolving cases, impact on mental health & well-being, individuals can remain unemployed, no shared learning or policy reforms.
The BAME Health Collaborative desperately seeks an independent, free & impartial system – reflecting inclusion, equity & equality, the power to undertake a single investigation into multiple complaints about the same topic, thus avoiding duplication & excessive cost. Neutral arbiters to standardise the NHS process for referrals.
