Extend Council Tax exemptions on properties of the deceased that are for sale
Current rules on council tax for properties of the deceased are insufficient. The Government should make it so no council tax is chargeable on any property that has been put on the market following the death of its owner, provided it is empty.
This is particularly importance at present, as Covid and related restrictions on viewings has reduced the opportunity to sell many properties.
