To agree to end the school term on Friday 11th December 2020 at the latest.
By closing schools earlier for the Christmas break, schools will have a longer break, as universities do, and this may act as a circuit breaker, reducing the spread of the virus. Also, this will prevent anyone who attends or works in a school having to isolate over Christmas.
Because it needs to be national decision and to affect all schools in England for it to have the desired affect.
