Close Schools for Key Stage 3-4 for an appropriate amount of time amidst COVID19
We would like the government to at least consider closing schools/colleges for Key Stage 3 and 4 down (Years 9-12) in the coming weeks or as soon as possible, in addition to taking necessary actions to prevent further spread.
We would like the Parliament to consider this action due to the growing risk for the families of students that attend school. The 'rule of six' is unrealistic to maintain in the indoor scenes. Students mix in an indoor setting with 30 households 6 times a day with no surgical grade mask while learning. Closing for older students would not effect the working parents as they are able stay home alone. Students' learning would have less of an impact because they have access to online classrooms.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It's not clear exactly which schools/years you want to close. Your petition refers to Key Stages 3 and 4, which covers years 7 to 11, but also refers to schools and colleges, and Years 9-12, which is Key Stages 4 and 5.
We could accept a petition calling for years 9-12 to be required to close, or for all secondary schools and colleges to be required to close, but it would need to be clear which years or schools/colleges you wanted to be required to close.
We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
