Open the UK Christian Churches for Sunday Worship
Let Christians meet anywhere on Sunday to worship God. We are commanded to meet physically together on this day to praise, pray, and hear the word of God. The right to worship freely is a cornerstone of English liberty and democracy and should never be relinquished in the name of health & safety.
It is beyond the powers of a liberal democratic government to bar citizens from meeting together for religious worship. End the indefinite and expansive emergency powers given to the UK Government from this Covid-19 pandemic, which deny our basic human rights to worship God.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Guidance released by the Government on 19 January 2021 allows for places of worship to open during the pandemic, as long as they can do so safely.
