Classify gyms as essential service in the UK
Classify gyms and leisure centres as essential services / businesses so that they can stay open during any national lockdown in the United Kingdom in the future, as well as the upcoming four week lockdown commencing on 5 November 2020.
Healthcare is an essential service. Gyms and leisure centres should be classified as a healthcare service as they assist to improve physical and mental wellbeing, increase the immune system (beneficial in fighting COVID-19) and at national and local level shows no evidence of Covid-19 transmission in gyms.
They also provide jobs for thousands of citizens and residents. By allowing the which would see less strain on the furlough system currently in place and boost the economy.
