Petition Action

Stop nurses paying £120 to be able to work for the NHS

Petition Details

Stop nurses having to pay a fee to work for the NHS and treat patients as well as pay for parking. Parking fees were re-applied the day Tom Moore received his knighthood for doing what the government should have been doing. There were 80,000 nurses and doctors who could have been acknowledged

Additional Information

There is not enough common sense in running the NHS and the recent mess with PPE and vaccine development and the overspend and wasteful contract placements indicates that a root and branch reform is required of the NHS

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The level of registrations fees are a matter for independent regulators such as the General Medical Council and Nursing and Midwifery Council, and not the Government or Parliament.

You could start a new petition calling on the Government to fund health regulators directly, so they do not need to charge a registration fee, if that's something you'd like to see happen.
