Allow Pubs and restaurants to sell Takeaway alcohol during the 2nd lockdown.
The Government should reconsider the restriction of Pubs, Restaurants and hospitality to sell Takeaway Alcohol during the second lockdown period in the UK.
It could be a massive blow for local pubs that are already struggling with recovering from the first lockdown and all the investment put into making their businesses COVID safe even though it cut profits in half, for no other reason than to stay in business. With the new lockdown and rules not allowing them to sell alcohol not only is it putting them at risk of shutting down completely, but also a massive loss to stock already invested in that would for sure go to waste during the lockdown.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition the new regulations that have been put in place allow licensed premises to sell alcohol provided this is pre-ordered by the customer: www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1200/pdfs/uksi_20201200_en.pdf
