Petition Action

Deem gyms an essential service & continue to serve our communities through COVID

Petition Details

Mental health is very sensitive at this moment. People need the gym as an outlet for stress, anxiety and depression. This could be the best hour of their day especially with everything else taken away from them.

There is no evidence to support that gyms are a dangerous spread for COVID 19.

Additional Information

Our physical health is also just as important right now. We are being told that being fit and healthy will help you fight this virus
A decline in mental health will also have huge impact on depression and an increase obesity figures. Exercise has been shown to protect against COVID19. Gyms will take pressure of some of the services the NHS provide.
Please support us by signing this petition so we can bring it to the government to get them to deem gyms an essential service.
