Maths should no longer be a required subject at GCSE.
Many students across the country are forced into doing mathematics at an early age. After learning the basis and everyday maths that is needed as an adult, Students when picking there GCSE subjects should no longer have to do maths as a required subject at GCSE.
Pupils who are not as able in the subject as others may feel like they are being pressured by being in lower sets and getting bad grades on a subject they are not good at and are required to take on for GCSE's. This is the building ground for bad mental health as pressure from families and teachers burden on them.
We want the Government to remove Maths from being a GCSE that students across the country must partake in. The rule would apply to all state schools in the country.
