Exempt private Pilates classes from Covid-19 lockdown restrictions

Petition Details

Pilates needs to be considered as a medical form of exercise. Not as leisure. We treat people with conditions, and injuries that have been referred by medical practitioners.

Additional Information

Every time a lockdown happens pilates is forced to close like all other gyms.

Pilates helps a whole range of conditions, pregnancies, injuries, and helps prepare peoples bodies for operations and recovery from operations. Some clients are so debilitated by their conditions that pilates has been recommended just to keep them out of a wheelchair. And keep their bodies alive. We need to have the category changed for private classes, so vulnerable clients do not miss out on important treatment.
