Petition Action

No More Military Foreign Interventionism

Additional Information

If you believe, like I and millions of others, that military foreign interventionism is morally unjustifiable and is the wrong way to encourage progress then sign this petition.

You should sign if you agree with all of the following statements:
1) British military involvement in the wars of Iraq Afghanistan and Libya were - and for the ongoing conflicts are - wrong
2) It is not the brave soldiers themselves who are to be blamed, but the politicians who sent them there
3) Britain should only go to war to protect our country or our allies and other overseas interests

Specifically we want the Government to: withdraw all combat forces from Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya; in future refrain from participating in conflicts; stop the indirect participation in civil war by giving money and supplies to the Libyan rebels; use our say in international bodies, such as the UN security council and NATO, to discourage military interventions of this kind.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
