Keep baby classes open alongside other educational settings
We want Government to keep baby classes open alongside nurseries, schools, colleges, universities and other educational settings as long as they can be conducted in a socially distanced manner.
Education and learning begins from birth. Baby classes provide crucial development, stimulation and social learning from a baby’s earliest days. Coupled with this, mothers (in particular new mothers) have never been more isolated. Baby classes provide crucial structure, support and community for women at a time when family and friends cannot be present to help. These classes must continue - in a socially distanced manner - as a safeguarding measure for both women and children.
