Petition Action

Tell us if this is how taxpayer funded organisations get around any problems about paying huge bonuses.

Additional Information

The BBC is now reported to have made 90 high level staff redundant with HUGE redundancy payments and has rehired them without requiring them to pay back the redundancy payments. If this is how government allows taxpayer pounds to be abused then it is absolutely reprehensible and MUST BE STOPPED.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

This is a matter for the BBC (its funding doesn't come out of general taxation but the licence fee). However, the Government/Parliament is in contact with the Director-General and the Chair of the BBC Trust.
