Introduce people having to verify their identity to make social media accounts
Ensure people have to upload some form of ID to prove their identity like when you create a betting account. Everyone should have to use their real names and not use pictures taken from the internet, for example pictures of footballers.
Social media is great when it’s used in the right way but sadly some people misuse it. It allows people to get away with bullying and the police aren’t always able to help as they don’t have access to the perpetrators details. It happens to thousands of people every day, celebrities and non-celebrities. Some people may commit suicide because of fake accounts and many will have mental health issues as a result, let’s stop this from happening instead of having to deal with the consequences.
