Permit singles tennis games on outdoor courts during lockdown
Singles tennis games comply with 'exercise outdoors with one other person'.
Social distancing is maintained: 2 opponents remain 40+ ft apart throughout the game. Maintaining mental health is very important: tennis allows energy release & distanced interaction.
Playing a physically strenuous game that has an intrinsic purpose is an enjoyable and effortful release of energy, calming mind and keeping body healthy.
Most importantly, if people are allowed to exercise outdoors with one other person, a singles tennis game meets this criteria fully. In this instance, how is it lawful to exclude this particular sport from the list of permitted activities when it so clearly meets the criteria set by Government?
