Pay for parental leave for key workers who can't work from home.
Pay for key worker parents who have to take time off for children who are off school with covid -19 or due to their school 'bubble' being closed. As these parent will miss out on £100's due to parental leave being unpaid. They also can't work from home as they are front line roles.
Parents who can work from home can supervise their children to some extent. Whereas key workers are unable to do this and are losing money due to parental leave being unpaid. Key workers have been working throughout the pandemic in health, education, retail, emergency sectors to name a few. These parents are being penalised for parental leave during lockdowns due to the roles they carry out.
