Petition Action

Consider if the senior all-male COP26 team, complies with the Equality Act 2010?

Petition Details

The Government to consider and make recommendations for rectifying the disparity between the representation of men and women, in the COP26 senior team, in line with the Equality Act 2010 and the provision made to address the underrepresentation of certain groups in elected bodies.

Additional Information

Women throughout the world, are among those worst hit by climate breakdown.

UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres recently stated gender equality is the prerequisite for a better world, and that "women's leadership in all spheres is critical to building a more peaceful and stable future."

Yet, the government is demonstrating a flagrant disregard for this, with its male-only senior team at COP26 - arguably the most significant climate talks of our time.

Give women a seat at the table.
