Petition Action

Limit the use of fireworks in urban residential areas to specific dates only.

Petition Details

Ban the use of fireworks in urban residential areas except for specific dates, such as November 5th, Diwali, and New Year amongst others. Currently fireworks are used in residential areas over several weeks, particularly around November 5th, causing a nuisance and disturbance to residents.

Additional Information

It is fun to use fireworks to celebrate an event, but this is not what is currently happening. People are using fireworks over several weeks, often nightly. This causes a disturbance for resident's and of course animals over an extended period of time.
