Include British Sign Language as a compulsory subject for pre-GCSE year groups
I would like the education secretary to work alongside schools and incorporate British Sign Language onto the compulsory curriculum for pre-GCSE students.
Hearing impediments are becoming increasingly common, with 1 in 10 of us thought to have one by 2050. Therefore, in order to allow people to communicate with people with hearing impediments, I believe that it should be taught to us from an earlier age. Also, it’ll help children gain a greater understanding and allow them to be more aware of this issue.
