Fairness in Defining Essential/Non-Essential Items & Who Can Sell in Lockdown.
To be fairer with the definition of essential and non-essential items in the context of assessing which retail shops may sell these items. If clothes are deemed non-essential then the rule should be standardised across all types of retailers, regardless of what they predominantly sell.
The lockdown has our minds racing at 100mph in trying to understand not only the rules but what the short & long term implications are for our businesses.
We understand the severity of COVID, adapted our businesses & feel that shopping with independents is probably safer than anywhere.
Why should supermarkets & multinationals stay open during this critical Christmas season & sell the items that we can't & have to close for?
