Ban loud fireworks except for licensed events on bonfire night and new year’s
My petition is for the use of ‘silent’ fireworks to be allowed for public use under the same restrictions as is currently implemented, and noisy ones to be banned for public use and only allowed for licensed events on two nights of the year. Bonfire night and new year
This means people unable to see displays can still enjoy fireworks, without causing unnecessary stress. Animals suffer when the area they live sounds like a war zone, some even end up hurting themselves or even dying. It is not only animals; people that suffer with noise sensitivity and others with PTSD need to be able to prepare for the noise. It is not fair for anybody to be made to feel unsafe in their own home night after night simply for people to see some pretty lights.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
You may wish to sign some of these petitions:
Limit the Sale and Use of Fireworks to Organisers of Licensed Displays Only: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/319891
Review and reduce the decibel limit on fireworks sold to the public: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/549758
Ban the use of all fireworks in order to reduce air and noise pollution: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/334448
Make it illegal for fireworks to be set off on days other than Nov 5 and Dec 31: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/559397
While some fireworks are marketed as silent, these still make some noise. If you would like the Government to reduce the decibel limit to a specific level, you could start a new petition requesting this.
