Petition Action

Ban the sale of noisy fireworks to the public and keep for organised displays

Petition Details

Ban the sale of noisy fireworks to the general public, and keep them only for organised displays but allow the sale of silent/lower noise fireworks to the public.

Additional Information

Every year thousands of households let fireworks off, and every year the nation becomes divided between people who have pets and people who don’t. Banning the sale of noisy fireworks to the general public allows households to still let off silent fireworks and enjoy the celebrations but also stops the unnecessary stress, harm, and death that it brings to pets, wildlife, and also people coping with things such as PTSD.

Only allow organised displays to have noisy fireworks.

While some fireworks are marketed as silent, these still make some noise. If you would like the Government to reduce the decibel limit to a specific level, you could start a new petition requesting this.
