Reform infrastuctures and funding for mental health.
Mental health institutions need improvment and to be staffed adequately. There is a need to create more jobs in mental health. Staff is overwhelmed and patients do not get the help they need or they wait unreasonably time for it. Do not rely only on charity and donations. Use taxpayer money wisely
World health organisation explores in detail the impact of economic crisis on mental health. In the abstract of the paper it is highlighted how an economic crisis is expected to produce mental health effects that may increase suicide, alcohol deaths and other mental health illness such anxiety, depression and PTSD.
There is a huge need to start caring for the people more affected in this situations. Extra funding for infrastructure, jobs and support in communities. This is a priority.
