Change the law.
Allow police, vets and animal welfare authority field officers to immediately retrieve any suspected stolen animals identity, either via microchip scan or D`n`a without a search warrant and no permissive access needed.
To enable owners to get their animals back quickly before they can be sold or moved on.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The police are already able to search vehicles for stolen property, and can search homes with a warrant if they believe stolen property is being stored there.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
