For proof of ownership mandatory at all vets before treatment or after treatment
my cat recently went missing and someone managed to register him under there name/address(without proof of ownership)and he was put to sleep( as he was very ill)without us knowing and us not being able to say gdbye or deciding what happens to his body not knowing what had happened to him.
Our cat was microchipped and details up to date.
In law Vets don't yet have to ask cat owners for proof of ownership.
In the law it is not yet mandatory for all cats to be microchipped.
Also in law it is not mandatory for proof of ownership being needed by microchipping or paperwork If taking anywhere E.g vets
I would hate this to happen to anyone else.Please make it mandatory that proof of ownership is needed before any treatment or after emergancy treatment e.g by paperwork or microchip.
