Extend maternity leave for women who had babies during the pandemic
Extend the maternity leave for women who gave birth during or just before the pandemic.
Extend the maternity exemptions such as free dental care.
Babies born during or shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic wouldn't have had a chance to be socialised, therefore it is unfair that mums would have to return to work leaving their sheltered 6 months old babies at nurseries with strangers. This could cause great distress and a number of potential risks to both mother and child’s mental health.
Women could not take advantage of maternity exemptions, such as free dental care, due to ongoing lockdowns and potential risks of contracting the virus.
