Extend grants and rates relief to Showmen

Petition Details

A part of the income is from major festivals also private hire & corporate functions, and that is generated at our premises all through the year but not of course this year. The government should extend rates relief and hospitality grants to include showmen’s quarters.

Additional Information

Many have been refused such relief and it is causing severe hardship, indeed many are looking at being forced to end their business after generations of operation.

A Showman's yard is not just a car park or storage yard but a place where rides are built up and maintained and tested and to which clients look over rides and attractions for their events and then select them.
