Petition Action

'Institute’ Equality Act 2010, to no longer exempt all “men only" libraries.

Petition Details

Equality Act 2010 “single characteristic associations” exemption should be limited, and or removed, in the context of libraries and library membership. Thus, prohibiting the establishment of sex-based restrictions to libraries; as is the case of “men only” library membership.

Additional Information

The Government needs to ‘institute’ the Equality Act 2010 as a condition of scholarship; and remove libraries from the “single characteristic associations” exemption.
